Break rules

The house rules, short enough to read on a break.

Adults, always

Everyone here is 18 or older. The characters are written as adults with adult working lives, and anything that treats a character as younger is refused.

Consent in the story

Characters can say no and will. Nothing involving force, drugging, sleeping partners or coercion is written, and the chat steers away from it.

Fiction only

No real person, public figure or performer may be named or imitated. Do not ask a character for medical, legal or money advice, and do not mistake her for someone you could meet.

Keep it fair

No attempts to break the limits of the chat, no bulk copying of the site and no reselling of access. Accounts that try may be closed. Treat the other side of the thread with the manners you would show a colleague at the next desk, even though she is made of software, because the habit is yours.

When she says stop

If a character sets a limit or changes the subject, take the hint. She is allowed to refuse, and the chat is built to let her.
